A fine-grained metamorphic rock, SLATE is popular for a wide variety of uses, especially for outdoor patios, because of its durability and attractive appearance. An extremely versatile rock, it is non-porous and it retains its natural color even in UV light. Aside from outdoor pavers and walling, it is also suitable for countertops, roofing tile, indoor flooring, and stair treads.
